Holistic Therapist Magazine held its first Holistic Business Awards on Saturday 4th of October at the Olympia Beauty Show, London. The ceremony was hosted by HTM’s very own Vicky and Jayson at the Health and Wellbeing stage sponsored by the magazine. The awards were a celebration of the achievements of unsung heroes of the complementary and alternative health industry, recognising the passion, tenacity and hard work of those nominated who all had one thing in common; their dedication to make a positive difference in the lives of others doing what they love. Emotions ran high as winners and runners up told their stories of their journey and the inspiration behind their work. We were incredibly touched by the support received for the event and the turnout which left standing room only.
Our independent judging panel comprised of highly respected, passionate industry leaders with a wealth of personal experience in the field. Deciding the winners was described by one judge as ‘one of the most difficult decisions’ they have ever had to make. David Balen of Balens insurance, Marylin Glenville of Glenville Nutrition, and Liz Badger of Face the World had the unenviable task of reading each and every shortlisted nomination to decide the winners and runners up in each category.
HTM Director Jayson and Operations Director Vicky were overwhelmed by the number applications received which crept into the hundreds! Reading through the applications, so many brought a tear to the eye of the team. Each story of triumph over adversity further confirming the need for awards such as the Holistic Business Awards to acknowledge the journey of those incredible individuals for their contribution to the industry and society as well as their achievements, regardless of their social media reach or public profile which allowed those who were previously unknown to the masses to truly shine.
Winners, Runners up, shortlisters and all those who were nominated – we commend you all. You truly are an inspiration to the industry, us at HTM and those around you. Congratulations!
