I’m obsessed with drinking my green tea, with all it’s amazing benefits but as it gets warmer I like to drink something a little more refreshing. So why give up the green tea? Well you don’t have to – because here’s my summer alternative…
- 2 green tea bags infused in boiled water in a pot
- 3 apples juiced
- A small handful of mint leaves
- 1 lime quartered
Allow the tea to cool then add all of the ingredients into a juice. Serve over ice cubes.
Green tea truly has what I would describe as magical benefits:-

~May lower your risk of type II Diabetes
~Reduces the risk of heart disease
The super antioxidants in apple juice are beneficial for heart health, the flavonoids are known to prevent asthma attacks, the alkalinity aids as a great liver cleanser, it assists in lowering cholesterol, it’s a great immune booster and can prevent cancer. And mint has great digestive benefits, while one fresh lime contains 22 milligrams of calcium and over 5 micrograms of folate – perfect for women who are post-menopausal and women of child-bearing age.
